A series of earthquakes shook the Balkans

Several stronger tremors and a range of smaller ones were felt in the last 24 hours on the Balkan peninsula.
The last of the tremors was felt this morning at 8 am and its strength was 4 according to the Richter scale.
Yesterday at 5.19 pm the earthquake was the same strength and was felt in the Bulgarian regions of Petrich, Sandanski and Blagoevgrad.
Earthquakes in Macedonia followed again 7.31 pm and 7.35 pm.
Three of the tremors were felt also in Sofia with the last of them being at 10.37 pm. It was 5th degree according to the Richter scale and was felt in the region of Petrich as 4th degree, in Blagoevgrad, Sofia and Gotse Delchev as 3rd degree, informed the Seismic center at the Geophysical institute in the Bulgarian academy of science.
There is no data about damages or victims.
Other tremors have followed with a magnitude around 2 according to the Richter scale.
The epicenter of the earthquakes was 160 km from Sofia outside Bulgaria, near the Macedonian town of Valandovo.
The tremors in Macedonia were altogether around 70.
According to experts from the Bulgarian academy of science the tendency is towards fading of the tremors.
