Only a few days are left for the long awaited concert of the big violin player Nigel Kennedy in Sofia on 15 June 2009 in Hall 1 of the National Palace of culture.

For his return on the Bulgarian stage the eccentric British musician has expressed special wish to be as close as possible to the audience. 

In this regard the sale of a limited number of places on a promotional price of 30 euro starts.

They will be in close proximity to the stage – thus the biggest fans of Mr. Kennedy will be able literally to touch him.

Meanwhile it became clear that apart from touring the art places in Sofia with a super luxurious BMW 7 at the day of his arrival, the Briton will use the morning on the next day to play on a grand piano in the presidential apartment in Hilton hotel in which he will stay during the two days of his visit.

Kennedy has refused any fluffy covers and flower decoration because he is allergic to them.

However, as a typical Englishman the violin player should constantly have a full tea set – cups, jug and high quality tea “Earl Grey”. He has refused any alcohol before the concert.

Nigel Kennedy and his Polish jazz quintet will play on 15 June at 8 pm in Sofia at the invitation of ART BG and will present their new album “A Very Nice Album” as well as the best from the great violin player from his long musical career.
