Stoichkov talked for about two hours and a half about his career as a player, for all the trophies, for the upcoming BFC elections for president, for Dimitar Berbatov and the national team.

Bulgarian football legend supported Borislav Mihaylov on his re-election fot BFC president with the words:

"I'm convinced that Bobby will be BFC president after the elections. I support him undoubted and don't have the least intention to apply for his position, because he was and will always be my captain. I believe he follows his dream for getting people come back to the stadiums in Bulgaria"

Asked if he sees himself as the BFC president at a later stage then, ex-coach of the Bulgarian national team answered:

"I know that I am able to be BFC president and the Olympic Committee president as well, but I believe in their present leaders. If Bobby quits, I may apply."

Concerning his rows with Dimitar Penev, manager of the golden '94 national team, and Dimitar Berbatov, Manchester United star, Stoichkov commented:

"At the moment Berbatov is Bulgaria's best player and  his being the national team captain is logical. We are players of different generations which are not to be compared to each other. I'm happy that he's in Manchester - that's the top of his career for now. Everyone, claiming that we confront each other is a moron"

"Dimitar Penev is one of the many managers I've worked with. I grew up with Ljubo (Penev) and Emil (Kostadinov) in CSKA, when Penev was still a Dimitrovgrad manager"
